What do I need to bring to my appointments?
Bring the following with you to your appointments: insurance cards, photo ID, referral information, any X-ray or MRI you have had done in the past and a list of all medications you are currently taking.

 

How do I get a copy of my medical records?
Due to HIPAA, privacy rules and regulations, your request must be made in writing. You may drop your request at our office or fax to us at (843) 853-3500.

 

I have just been diagnosed with diabetes, what should I do about my feet?
Check feet daily for sores or any other areas of redness and be sure to schedule regular check ups with your podiatrist.

 

Do I need special shoes for running if I have diabetes?
Yes, each person has a unique gait and needs the proper shoes to support the pattern of our foot. Improper shoes can cause excess stress to your ligaments and tendons as well as to your hips and knees.

 

What are your healthcare affiliations and where do you operate?
We practice at Roper Hospital, Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital and James Island Surgery Center. We are also members of the Medical Society of South Carolina and the American Medical Association as well as the American Podiatric Association.
